Shower too hot

how do i adjust the shower valve so the shower isn’t too hot, it doesn’t matter what position the temp is set to it’s too hot.

Many thermostatic shower valves have a safety stop that limits the maximum temperature.
You can Remove the temperature control handle (usually secured by a small screw or cap)
Thermo cartridge has failed if it’s a mixer shower.
Try replacing that for a quick and easy test.
Cartridge is faulty
