How much is a reasonable call-out charge for plumbing emergency?

Any price for plumbers, they get what they can.... we don't we are fair and honest. Expect to pay a premium at this time, you have the choice to accept or reject his/her price when they tell you and this should all be done before they arrive. As you said it is an EMERGENCY and it has to be done.

Depends on a number of factors, distanace, can problem be dealt with on this visit or is it a temporary fix and needs further work.

It all depends which area of the u.k you live.
for me the midlands being our local area,call out within 25 mile radius
would be ?25 but this would be deducted from the cost of the works if we were to carry out the repair.
any other area is increased by ?1 per mile .
this is purely to cover fuel costs.

When I worked for many insurance companies in the 80s and 90s they paid me 100 pounds per call out this included 1st hour labour.
So I assume I would charge around 150 pounds now for 2019 this is of course after hours charges and 1st hours labour.
