Shower problem

The red flashing lights and beeping indicate that the shower’s safety sensors have detected a drop in water pressure or flow rate below the required minimum. The fact that it only operates when a basin tap is running suggests your plumbing setup is experiencing a significant pressure drop, or a shared component (such as a pump) is failing to supply the shower independently.

This usually means the shower is not getting enough water flow or pressure on its own. When the basin tap is opened, it changes the pressure balance and allows the shower to run temporarily. The problem is commonly caused by a blocked filter, faulty flow sensor, sticking solenoid valve, or low mains pressure to the Mira Advance Flex shower

It sounds like your Mira Advanced Flex is experiencing a low water pressure or flow issue. When you turn on the basin taps, you may be stabilizing the pressure or clearing an airlock, but once they are closed, the shower's internal sensors detect insufficient flow, triggering the red flashing lights and safety shut-off.

This would mean you have low mains pressure/ flow. The taps running raises the flow which will trigger the showers safety sensor which is why this is why it only works when taps running

It's possible there isn't enough pressure.

• Blocked filters or inlet strainers
• Partially closed isolation valves
• Low mains pressure

You may need to clean filters or have the supply checked.
