Does water reverse back to overhead tank
I have a question when I was washing my hands some water felt on cp flange of wash basin I want to know does the water goes reverse back to overhead water tank through pipes.

Hi, normally, no water falling on the chrome flange of the wash basin pipe does not go back through the pipe to the overhead water tank. The flange is only a cover around the pipe, so any water there would usually run down the outside or into the wall opening if not sealed properly. The main thing is to dry it, check for any leaks from the tap or connection, and seal around the flange neatly if required.
