Draining water tank
My plumber has put all the loft tank dirty water and silt down the toilet then we had a blockage in the main pipes outside the bill for this was £295 for a callout on a sunday I'm thinking of taking this off the bill or should I not pay all the bill any help please
Advice from 4 local tradespeople
Hi
Did the drainage engineer leave a report on his findings or information on what it was he unblocked.
It’s difficult to say who to blame or maybe it’s just an unfortunate coincidence.
I would ask for a report from the drainage engineer before any actions are taken.
I would advise that you contact the plumber and get him to cover this bill
If it is absolutely clear that as a result of the tank water being poured down the toilet, it is now blocked! Then the tradesperson should cover the cost of the inconvenience caused by works ordered by the client and should leave everything apart from the works ordered in absolutely the same state they found them in! It is a clear case of bad practice.
That is the plumbers responsibility to empty in a suitable manor.
No you should ask the Plumber to cover the costs.
