hot water tap for bath low pressure unless i slightly open

If i run the hot tap for the bath it is very slow flow (gravity system - hot tank in loft above bathroom). If i slightly open basin hot tap (presume air as no water coming out) the bath tap pressure increases - is there a 'vent' or 'air lock thingy' i can fit so the bath tap run ok without the need to open basin tap - thanks

The slow hot water flow to your bath tap in a gravity-fed system, where opening the basin tap increases the bath tap's flow, is likely due to an airlock or a partial blockage in the hot water pipe to the bath tap. While it's possible to fit a vent or air release valve, it's not a standard solution for this problem. The better approach is to address the root cause of the airlock or blockage

Your bath tap is taking all available water that the gravity system can provide. I would recommend either changing to a pressurized system or fit a pump to the pipework between tank and cylinder/cold feed. Providing your storage tank fills accordingly so as not to run empty.
