Shower baseboard
My raised shower tray came with a baseboard that attaches to the bottom of the tray itself. The fitter said it doesn't need this as is it going onto a flat wooden floor. Is this true? The baseboard is designed to be attached to the tray not for the feet to sit on.

I would always fit a base board as well it strengthens the area on which the shower tray cover and gives you a better fixing
