side entry toilet fill valve
Side entry toilet fill valve making a hissing air sound and water dripping slowly into cistern and once over a certain level, dripping into toilet bowl.
Will cleaning the filters on the fill valve resolve the issue/best to get a new fill valve/could it be something else.
Advice from 4 local tradespeople
Inspect the diaphragm after remove the fill valve and examine the diaphragm for any damage or misalignment. If the diaphragm is torn or worn, replace it with a new one.
Could need a clean, sediment or something stoping the flush valve fully closing, incorrect max fill setting, could be a faulty seal/washer/gasket or just generally broken.
Best to just replace for the sake of £10/20 and have peace of mind than waste yoir time fault finding if its not an easy find.

Replace fill valve
Replace the fill valve and test 3 times flushing. Adjust the fill valve to the correct filling height
