Can I just replace the metal switch on my shower diverter, or do I need a new valve?

My shower has 2 seperate heads which are controlled by what i believe is called a 3-way diverter valve. The metal turn switch which controls where water flows to has fallen off, so now my shower only operates one of the shower heads. To fix it, would i be able to just replace the metal turn switch which has fallen off, or will i need to replace the entire 3-way diverter valve?

If you can find same metal turn change it , if you can't find same , you need new one
