How do I locate the toilet shut-off valve if I can't see it?
My toilet seems to be on a constant flush and the tank water is low but keeps dripping water to refill. I’ve just checked behind the toilet and the pipe seems to be slightly loose showing water dripping. I can’t locate the toilet off valve to turn it off until plumber can come. Any ideas please what this looks like as I can’t see anything?

Depending on the type of system you have the water supplied to your toilet with either be direct from a tank or from mains water supply.
Either way of you can locate your incoming mains supply isolation valve ie, lever valve or stop cock then shut the water off from there.
Open a bath tap or any outlet at the lowest point in your property allow the water to stop. Flush the toilet once all the water has emptied.
The water will eventually stop dripping behind the toilet as it is no longer dripping giving your plumber time to attend and repair these issues.
Once they have completed the works the will reverse the process of isolation and establish the water supply to your property.
If cannot find the valve near the toilet then the water has to be disconnected from the mains.
