Why does gauge on undersink water heater go up to 6 bar?
I renovated a cottage and installed a aquapoint 111 undersink water heater. I followed the spec and didnt seem to need a expansion tank. It has been working ok i believe for the past year, but noticed the gauge on the incoming cold water supply goes up to 6 bar when the water heater cuts in, i dont know why i ve tried to get a plumber round but cant at short notice. Can anyone help me?

The Chrome fitting needs to be replaced with a 6 bar safety valve fitted as close as is practical and with copper pipe discharge outlet that terminates in a safe manor.
The Chrome safety valve maybe a check valve and which can prevent the expansion vessel from doing its job.
