How to solve toilet making loud noise like an engine when filling up?
My toilet is making a loud noise, kind of like an engine when filling up. I flush and then it's normal but then there's a loud noise. I've had a look inside and there's a lot of vibration. I need this fixed asap as I'm having guests over and I don't know if there's an internal problem, if the refill valve needs to be replaced, or what else I can try and do before resorting to that.

The problem may occur for a few reasons. To solve the problems we need to check the following things:
1. Check the fill valve, which is responsible for refilling the tank after each flush. We need to check the fill valve to see if there is any sign of damage or rust.
2. Water Level Adjustment can be caused by noise and vibration. Need to adjust the water level by adjusting the float attached to the fill valve.
3. Sediment or debris can accumulate in the fill valve and tank, and it could be a cause of malfunction and make noise.
4. Last but not least, we need to check for leak. A lead could cause the fill valve to work harder than normal.
The problem is most likely a loose washer in the ballcock assembly, which is common among older toilets with a metal ballcock-style fill valve. Tighten or replace the washer and fill valve assembly
