Frustrating leak
Help absolutely desperate for advice.
I have a large damp patch in my hallway….bathroom is the other side of the wall. I had a new mains waterline put in as leak detection picked up high readings from that. The damp patch is not improving. Asked for leak detection to return and they have discounted any internal pipe work leaks. They have said the shower valve seal is leaking but the shower is the other end of the room. I haven’t been using my shower for over 2 months (as it was suspected the water from that was going down a window).
I’m at a complete loss as to what is causing this leak. I’m getting to the point where I’m tempted to get someone to pull my floorboards up to physically look under my hall floor. Resisted that as leak detection had drawn a blank..
Am I being too impatient as the new mains waterline was done about a month ago? Any advice would be appreciated? I’m sick of this damp patch

Some images would be useful. How is the damp patch presenting itself. Does it seem to be going up or down the wall? Is there any pipework that has just been worked on directly behind the damp area? Is the damp area getting bigger or smaller in size or does it change shape at all? Did the new main pipework increase the pressure being delivered to the house? How old is the pipework that might be in question? Obviously the leak that they detected was outside the property has anybody checked the internal pipes for pressure dropping. Have you checked that the damp patch is currently wet/damp and it isn't just staining from a previous leak or a one off spillage? Probably a good idea to check that first lol. I would have a builder look at it to see if there is anything else that could be causing the damp and also get a dehumidifier to take moisture out of the room
The best thing to do is pull the floorboards up and have a look it could be coming from your shower then running along pipe work wires etc then dropping where your wet patch is
