Fitting new radiator pipe work.
Hi just a quick one. I had a plumber in to do some work and he left the radiator pipes cut back and capped off. My boiler is re pressurised and have no issues but he has let me down to come and finish and I'm getting ready to fit a kitchen back in. My question is as I am not to sure. When I reconnect the pipe work and re pressurise the boiler will I need to have the heating turned on for its to supply flow and check joints for leaks?

Hi there, yes it is best to fully heat the system up and get it nice and hot to fully check that the pipes are good and no leaks have occurred.
No the whole idea for leaks is the fact of pressurising the system
You don’t have to have the heating on to check for leaks I’d personally pressure the heating system to 2 bar and that should be sufficient to test for leaks
