Waste pipe under kitchen sink
Hi. Hope you are all OK. Quick question, explained badly. About a week ago the waste pipe from under my kitchen sick came loose, it has since come off completely, in doing so it has also loosened the actual metal plug hole strainer thing. Neither the waste pipe have threads so it can't be screwed back in. There are 2 heavy duty rubber washer type things that sit on top of the waste pipe though. This was then attached to the sink with either glue or sealant. I have tried to reattach with sealant and left to set overnight being held up tightly because I propped it up with something. It lasted a few days before the seal failed again. Had no problems with it for years. I hope someone can give some advice, I've no issue doing the work, it's just I'm struggling to find the right stuff to attach it with.

It looks like you will better off buying a complete sink waste kit.
The kits where the various components are thread locked together.
At the same time. new sink waste fittings would also help the situation.
