Any advice to resolve cold shower issue?
I recently had a new combi boiler fitted. When they left I noticed the water pressure was quite poor so I moved the lever to the mains and it improved but was not as strong as before the boiler was fitted. In the main bathroom I have a rainfall shower which worked for around 3 weeks but then kept going cold and now won't heat at all. I called the plumber back and he said it was nothing to do with the boiler but that I needed a new thermostat but because he didn't know the model would have to be a new shower (I had this shower installed 13 months ago). The water pressure in the shower is poor and I think that is what is causing the lack of hot water. The plumber who fitted the boiler refuses to come back as he says the 2 things aren't connected. I have checked with the Water utilities and there are no reported issues in the area. Could it be an airlock in the system? Or is it just a big coincidence? I am worried if I replace the shower as he says there will still be an issue with the water pressure. Any advice gratefully received

I would try fitting a gate valve on the cold water supply to the shower to reduce the cold water pressure to the shower giving it an equal flow of hot and cold to the shower
