Water running in drain no taps on

Water flowing constantly in the drain for kitchen/bathroom but no taps are switched on. Any ideas why?

Advice from 3 local tradespeople

Could be a few things.

Could be an external over flow from a toilet cistern running in to kitchen waist pipe.

Could be the overflow from a header tank were the tank is over filling.

Could be a discharge or condensation pipe from a combi boiler.

Unless you are a detached property that is isolated many drains are shared this could be the cause & you could be looking for something that is unrelated to your own property,

hope this helps , regards Ric
