Microbore to Pex

My home has microbore for heating in the rooms to radiators. Not sure which size (at work at the moment)
Can I convert from this 8mm or 10mm brass to a plastic of some sort (pex etc). What is best these days? Taking it that some people hate plastic...

Also, I was thinking... of freezing the microbore and fitting an isolating valve to feed and return. Just so I don’t have to drain down the whole house. It’s big. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Copper pipe

Could be changed to a average size of 15mm copper pipe going into Radiators if you change valves. It's a job you come across each year and very doable upgrading pipe size. Microbore is been not so successful for various reasons and can fall apart sometimes quite easy.
