Cold water "overwhelming" hot, mixer tap
Sorry for basic description, not sure how to describe the problem.
Our shower is off a mixer tap over a bath.
When using the tap (to bath or shower) the hot water comes out boiling, but if you touch the cold tap to adjust the temperature the water turns freezing as if you've only got the cold tap turned on fully. Even just cracking it and goodbye hot water. It also takes a little while for the hot water to return after turning off the cold tap.
The shower pressure is also quite weak, not sure if this is linked.
Any recommendations? We're in private rented so are a bit limited in what we can do. Heard about a valve that could stop the cold water overwhelming the hot but not sure what I'm looking for if I'm honest.
