Shower problem
Have old Aqualisa thermostatic shower gravity fed. Exposed mixer. Fitted new head and hose. This caused a reduction of pressure at normal head. ( not water saving. ) Tried different bore hose . Same problem. Now mixer 25years old is getting a small leak. Over years I have fitted new thermostat(expensive) and replaced broken outlet. So looks like It needs replacing. As its gravity fed what mixer replacement will still give a decent shower head pressure without a pump. I dont know why pressure decreases with aftermarket hose or head. I need one that fits input pipe dimension 150mm centre..( New Aqualisa thermostat exposed is £500 but Victoria plumbing shows pipework at 194cntr may be wrong but with new hose and head a bit beyond my budget. Advice on pressure problem to cure without adding greedy pump and Essex or Surry tank flange as hassle.
