Joining two Flexi hoses?

Can you use a male thread hexagon nipple (male thread both ends) to join to female end Flexi hoses together? I am expecting someone to tell me to "just extend the pipework" or "use a longer Flexi" but I just want to know if there is anything wrong with this set up. Provided the male thread ends are flat, they will be screwed in to the two female end Flexi hoses making a seal against each of their washers, so in my mind, theoretically this works. I realise the best practise is to have as minimal joints from water source to water tap as possible. I'm just curious to know from people more highly qualified to answer. Thanks for your time.

If it’s all you’ve got to work with it’s not ideal but it works
