Standard hose for Washing Machine Mains Water Inlet?
Bought a new washing machine to replace the old one.
Old one is fitted with a standard mains water inlet hose (cold only). 2.5m in length due to its position in the kitchen.
New washing machine comes with a water inlet hose with a mechanical water shut off valve. However it's 1.5m in length so will not reach.
Can I fit the standard hose without any danger of it affecting how then new washing machine works?
Advice from 2 local tradespeople
From what you described, you can easily fit a longer hose without any problems.
It is only an inlet hose, and the shut off will be within the machine.
Yes you can use the other hose , if the pipes are short you ca get joiners for them and make them any size yo want
