Pressfit onto chrome pipe?
Can you press a copper pressfit fitting straight onto chrome pipe? Without scratching the chrome plate off?

I personally would always scratch the chrome off as it is a very slippery service
No you can't, You must only use compression with JUST chrome pipe.
The press acts mechanically on the fitting without strain on the pipe. Not sure which system you're using but that's certainly true for Geberit.
Push fit fittings should never used with chrome pipe work...
WRAS approved plumbers are awear of this.
Yes you can use push fit on chrome pipe work. It wouldn’t look to good but it will work.
