Replacing analog dial Thermostat with new digital, Wiring Q?
Current Thermostat is a Honeywell typical dial. only two wires that go in, suspect high voltage because my tester light on the screw driver lights up.
New digital (chinese thing) from RecaSmart Model BBHt-002 has to be powered 220v. On the back it has 4 connection points, 1&2 are marked as dry contact which is connected to the boiler and 3&4 are N & L to power the unit.
Q1. If the wires to the current dial is High voltage would I just connect that to the 1&2 input?
Q2. Is this the right type of Thermostat that handles High voltage on the dry contact.
Q3. do I need to bridge wire anything or just run a new cable with 4 wires to the boiler?
The Boiler is an old Valiant Pro tec with a analogue dial timer on the front.
