Room thermostat

My mother in law’s house has TVR’S fitted to all but one radiator, however, the wires going to the room thermostat have been cut. A new boiler was fitted about 15 years ago. My question is whether she should also have a room thermostat.

Advice from 3 local tradespeople

It would be more efficient to have a room thermostat you can get a wireless one fitted if the wire is no longer available

Yes, she should absolutely have a room thermostat. Depending on how the wiring has been cut, it may possible to reinstate a new stat using the existing cable. Alternatively it would be relatively simple to install a wirelss room thermostat.

These reduce energy usage and are an alternative to wall fitted thermostat
