gas cooker broken - can I disconnect pipe?
my cooker is broken can i disconnect pipe and remove cooker and leave pipe out until new one comes will it lock off has supply whilst cooker pipe isn't plugged in

In theory yes, you can disconnect the Bayonet from the cooker bayonet socket, however its more for cleaning and not to permanently remove, strongly advise to get a gas engineer to disconnect and test for gas tightness socket could potentially leak
It is not safe to do so
