Safe Drilling - avoid gas pipes?

Is it safe to drill into a solid interior wall? Just worried about gas pipes in the exterior walls, want to put a fixture up on the solid walls

Advice from 4 local tradespeople

When drilling any wall you should always take measures to ensure there is nothing like electricity, water and heating pipes that can be hit. If there is pipes on exterior walls then ensured measures taken to not srill further than nessacery.

Chances are gas pipes wouldn't be run in an interior brick wall
But to be on the safe side the best thing to do is use a stud/pipe finder to double check

Gas pipes are not allowed to run in cavities only passing from out side to inside

Use a stud detector, but usually it won’t be buried in an internal wall.
