Fitting a driveway gate - which type of tradesman?
Which type of tradesman should I be looking for to do this job. Would it be reasonable to post the job to the "joinery & carpentry" section?

A carpenter. Or one experienced in fencing/gates.
Look for a hard landscaper they will have a lot more experience
Any competent trades man will be able to do this, I would advertise under handy person.
It would, but an alternative could be a handyman if the gate is not too bespoke, or possibly a welder/fabricator if the gates are metalwork. Some landscapers and gardeners would be happy to fit them too if they are geared up for the job.

Sorry I never answered sooner .your question regarding the gate for driveway .you could use any joiner or carpenter .as long as he's got the experance in working on gates .or a builder would be good .hope I've helped

it would depend on the type of gate you are having. if its wooden then joinery and carpentry, but you could list under general building.
