Call out charge for London roofer
Hello
What is the normal call out charge for a roofer in London please? I have been asked to pay £150 plus VAT call out. I was not told in advance and the charge is separate from the cost of any work carried out.
Advice from 10 local tradespeople
It depends on the company some company’s won’t have a call out charge unless there carrying out the work personally if you wanted me to come out and look at a job I wouldn’t charge a thing.
That's about right but they should have told you that before carrying out any work
Callout charge should always be confirmed before agreeing
Not sure on London prices but that price dose seem steap.
Small call-out fee to cover fuel costs
Then assess the problem then agree upon the repair work cost before starting the job
Call out for a roofer should be free. But other companies can charge.
The fee is too high. Whenever I go for a quote or a breakdown, I am informed that the arrival fee is £30 plus materials and removal of the breakdown.
The normal call-out charge for a roofer in London can vary widely depending on the company and the specific services offered. Charges typically range from £50 to £150 or more, with VAT usually applied on top. Some companies may waive the call-out fee if they proceed with the work, while others charge it separately regardless of whether further work is undertaken. It's worth noting that not all roofing companies charge a call-out fee, as with Justroofing. If you weren't informed in advance about the call-out charge, you may want to clarify this with the roofing company before proceeding.
There should 75 plus call out charge and u should be told before hand
The average call out charge for a roofer in London can vary depending on the company and the scope of the work. However, a call out charge of £150 plus VAT may be on the higher side. It is important to clarify with the roofer whether this charge is standard for their services and to discuss any additional fees beforehand to avoid any unexpected costs. It is also good practice to request a quote for the work to be carried out before agreeing to any charges.
