Hipped roof
Hi, could I get some advice please? I’m building a garage and it will have a hipped roof. The garage size is 5850 square inside to inside block work, the rise is 1.635. Would anyone know the calculation for the size / thickness the hip board needs to be ?

Hi it’s usually 2x 8 inches or 2x6 depending on lenght

It depends on design given by roof supplier 6/2” could be used. But generally the hip is 2inch wider than rafters.
