Broken toilet seat

Hi, I have a toilet with closed sides. It obiously uses top down fittings for the seat.
However, the seat has broken on one side and the screw for the fitting has broken at the head, leaving the fitting in the hole.
I can't get to the back, or underneath, of the toilet.
So, any idea how I can get teh fitting out so I can replace the seat?
Many thanks

Push the footings through the holes . They will drop down then put a new seat on where to fittings close as you screw them tight . Worse case is taking toilet out to fit a quality seat so you don’t have to mess about doing it again

Hi, the toilet sounds like a enclosed cistern one, so you will have to remove the toilet from the wall to access the behind of the pan and the fixings. Hope this helped kind regards CS
