Pink discoloration on bathroom vinyl?

We moved into our rented house a year ago. At that time the ventilation in the bathroom was poor. We noticed a pink stain/ mark had appeared under our wash basket on the vinyl. Since then we have tried bleach and mould remover to try and solve the problem but to no use. What can we do as we are moving out in less than a month?

This sounds like a dampness issue which has resulted in mould growth, it is actually a type of water-borne bacteria, Serratia marcescens. Where moisture from under the vinyl has come through. No quick fit here I am afraid, the only solution would be to replace.

I do not think you will get rid of it has its stained into the lino

Lead in water can cause discolouration

Sounds like you have damp problems, dpm, damp proof membrane is the solution. Any reading over 200 on a damp tester would conform confirm this

Replace the vinyl as it's cheap to buy,use the original as a template

You've probably done more harm than good sadly any soiling should be treated with non ph balanced cleaner it's probably better to replace as vinyl is relevanty cheap so better to replace rather than lose your deposit

The pink stain is one sign of water damaged flooring

Unless come look at it our selfs see wat can be done might have replace it
