Damaged a newly plastered (skimmed) wall
I have damaged a wall that has recently been skimmed but a wooden shelf bracket had been left on before the job and it was plastered around, this was then removed from the wall and has left a big section unplastered. Does the whole wall need to be re skimmed or can it be part repaired?

You can patch it up with plaster or depending on the size of the hole you could use filler to patch up the hole cheers steven
No it can be repaired all you do is pva on the part your repairing and skim and feather it in so theres no high points so when you paint it looks like theres nothing there

Patch repaired no need to plaster

You have 2 options here
1) would be to but some easifill and fill it in and sand it flat
2) if you have a decent plasterer he could patch it in for you and blend in with the existing plaster
You can repair this yes. Apply a pva coat on the unplastered area and slightly onto the plastered wall around the section. You plaster it like normal once the pva has almost turned clear and very tacky. You plaster over the joints of the existing, (not by much) and work into it as it dries so it goes thinner and thinner so you can't see where the original joint was. This is called feathering.
It can be made good without doing whole wall but you will likely be charged a full days labour
This can easily be repaired with something like pollyfiller
If the preparation work is done correctly and the joints are adequate then the area should be able to be addressed but as with all job be prepared to have areas skimmed again as most plastering job take a 4 hour min time scale
