Is my wall load bearing?
Recently I had a small water leak above my kitchen ceiling & the plasterboard collapsed. I was wanting to remove the wall between the kitchen and dining room but was put off as I though it was load bearing. Since the plasterboard fell down I can now see that the plasterboard is sandwiched between the beams (90 degrees across the wall) and the wall.
Although im not going to just remove it without professional advice, I wanted to check if I could get a bit more information before I get a structural engineer as I don't want to pay for a beam of it's not nessacery and using multiple engineers to check on honesty will cost a lot.

Is there any joist hanging or built in the wall if so it's load bearing and is there a block wall up stairs in the same place if so it's load bearing
