Can you tile on top of bathroom panels?

My bathroom walls are covered in wall panels rather than tiles.
I am refurbing the bathroom and wonder if its possible to fix tiles to the shiney bathroom wall panels rather than removing the panels first.

No

You would be better off taking the panels out and tiling onto the wall in my opinion anyway any more questions then let me know

I’m afraid this won’t be possible as with any adhesive you would need the walls etc to be textured so it can adhere correctly, any shower area should have cement boards fitted before tiled to give adequate water protection.

If it were me I would remove the panels

Yes you could tile over it, but be sure to score the surface well and make sure you use flexible adhesive and grout.

Not with standard adhesives you would need to remove plastic panels

In a word, No. Tiles can be set onto plasterboard, tileboards, skim or similar material.
