Staining solution

The bottom 18" of my downstairs cloakroom is below the damp course.
Several small brown spots keep appearing on the wallpaper. I've tried applying more emulsion, gloss and then emulsion and PVA and emulsion but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Treat the area with stain block and repaint.

Good ventilatoin, heating and a damp proof membrane to be applied on the and a non-porus paint to be used or paper. In some situation injecting a dpm into the wall can be done.

Use zinsser stain killer.

Need applications(zinsser)Cover stain

Try the Zinsser Cover Stain Spray. Easy to use, seals water, smoke and nicotine stains. Recoat in 1 hour.

Best to Remove wall papers. As will hold Damp,
Once removed. Look at wall to see if Damp.
Suggest useing a lime wash to let wall breath.
Acrylic paints Trap water behind paint. Causing problems

Hi. Try zinsser bin primer sealer stain blocker. That normally blocks it out but if it still comes back through then it means theres still a leak problem.

I would strip back and render it with a decent integral waterproofer as should stop any damp coming back through internally

Try some zinzs stain block or some oil based undercoat

First need chek from whear it's dump its biggest problem whit wintiletion first need chek day after need paint with special staf from dump ant after paint whit normal
Emulsion paint

Use a product called bin stain block

No number of coats of more paint will sort the issue. Not even a hundred.
You need to clean the area, spray bleach if mouldy. Let it dry, sand if needed( prep is king ) .Apply a coat of Zinsser stain block. Water or oil to suit your finish.
Now once dry, get your desired finish coats on. job done

Strip paper off use oil base gloss on areas and when dry paint with colour of you choice sillk emulsion

I would recommend you to use a stainblock called ZINSSER .is drying very quick and it will stop the spots to come back

Paint it all brown
