Paint on walls

I have been painting freshly plastered walls as I usually would, some of the plaster has gone over existing plaster. Where this has happened there is a clear line and the paint has settled on the fresh plaster but not where the plaster went over the existing plaster. The same has occurred on the opposite side of the wall. I did a whitewash first and a large part of the room is fine. Any ideas?

Advice from 8 local tradespeople

Lightly rub with sand paper where new plaster cover old plaster till smooth,
Apply PVA to the area allow to dry and then repaint.

It needs rubbing down

Give a soft sand down then apply pva before you paint that should work

Fill the line with filler then rub down and paint more coats on.

New plaster and old plaster will react differently to new paint. Aslong as it has had its proper sealer coats then further coats should blend it in

Sorry cannot think why this would happen

Maybe paint that area with another coat and the line is still there further some filler up the line

Unfortunately the description is not clear enough for me to advise on.
Apologies.
